8月4至7日,美國北卡羅來納大學(xué)張勇教授應(yīng)邀訪問長春光機(jī)所。
在發(fā)光學(xué)及應(yīng)用國家重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室,宋航主任向張勇教授詳細(xì)介紹了實(shí)驗(yàn)室的學(xué)科分布情況及各課題組的科研成果。在我所編輯部,張勇教授受到編輯部主任白雨虹研究員和編輯們的熱烈歡迎。白主任對張教授作為《中國光學(xué)》外籍編委對期刊做出的貢獻(xiàn)表示感謝,并希望張教授能夠協(xié)助開展光機(jī)所英文期刊《Light: Science & Applications》的海外宣傳工作。
8月6日,張教授作了題為《Light-matter interaction: from spatially resolved probing to local structural and property modification》的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告,并與相關(guān)領(lǐng)域科研人員展開了熱烈的討論。報(bào)告會上,大家還詳細(xì)討論了科研合作的方向和學(xué)生聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)等問題。
個(gè)人簡介:Yong Zhang received B.S. and M.S. in Physics from Xiamen University in 1982 and 1985, and Ph.D. in Physics from Dartmouth College in 1994. He was with National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) from 1994-2009. In 2009, he joined the ECE Dept of UNC-Charlotte as Bissell Distinguished Professor (adjunct Professor of Physics Dept). His current research activities include (1) alternative materials and structures for photovoltaics (e.g., ZnO/ZnSe nano-heterostructures, CZTS), (2) defects in optoelectronic materials and devices (e.g., IR detector materials InAs/GaSb SLs and MCT, PV and LED materials GaAs, InGaN and AlGaN), (3) inorganic-organic hybrid materials (e.g., ZnTe(en)0.5), (4) 2D materials and their heterostructures (e.g., graphene, graphene/Si heterostrutures), and (5) fundamental sciences in solid state physics. He has published more than 160 papers and book chapters.
